Employment card repealed

This is a very important piece of news coming to non EU workers and to their employers. After 70 years and after a very uncertain career employment card is being repealed. Law decree 297 – December 19 2002 – introduces a new employment system and repeals employment cards, which become useless to all workers both Italians and non. We often explained that employment card have always been a problem to migrant workers, in fact only Local labour departments (not registry ones) released this document to migrants and employers only could ask for it. At the end of the working relation the card was given back to that offices without being at least checked by workers. Now this card doesn’t anymore exist. Other papers verify working relations status.
