We live in Milan, where local authorities, in the last years, have not helped us find safe and dignified living accommodations.

The letter of support for the “Caravan of Erased”
On 26th of February 1992 the newly established Slovenian state erased from the register of permanent residence 18305 inhabitants that until this day enjoyed full citizenship rights. The erased were internal migrants, citizens of former Yugoslavia that were after the cessation of federal State reclassified as international migrants.

Sweden - Amnesty for refugees
Between November 15 2005 and march 30 2006 something unique happened in Sweden. Tens of thousands of hidden and waiting refugees could, without fear, go to the Migration Board and hand in their papers for a re-trial due to a new temporary amnesty legislation.
No deportation were being made during this short period of time. The detention centers were empty and the civil servants had nothing to do. This was a short period of "seize fire" in the middle of the invisible war on asylum seekers. (...)
