“Where there are borders, we see horizons”

After the first meeting, that took place on Saturday, the 16th of November, here we are with the second call for those interested in being involved in the project “Radio Melting Pot”
The meeting will be divided in two moments:
from 9:30am until 12:30am: formation about the use of radio instruments and about the carrying out of a radio program
from 12:30am until 1:30pm: lunch break
from 1:30pm until 3:30pm: meeting of the editing group and assessment of the possible specific working groups

Who are we calling out to? Students interested in the topic of migration, asylum seekers, those working in the legal and welfare sectors.

What’s the objective?: The creation of 10 radio broadcasts covering meetings and drafting sessions. We will be split into different working groups based on the topics we will cover on the broadcasts. We will be running workshops on how to use radio devices and on how to upload the broadcasts.

What will we be discussing? During the broadcasts we will be sharing information regarding the opportunities in our territory , we will be promoting associations that work for social inclusion, we will talk about the countries of origin of our editors, we will discuss the effects of Salvini’s law on security and immigration and the new regulations, and listen to music recommendations from our contributors.

When? The first broadcast is planned for January, the idea would be to produce one each month until December 2020

Where? The broadcasts will take place thanks to the support of Radio Sherwood, in Padova (Italy)

Those who are interested in this project are welcome to join us on Saturday 16th November at 11:00 in Vicolo Pontecorvo, Padova.
