Question – Dearest editorial staff I have a friend that comes from Paraguay. She’s here in Italy on basis of religious matters. I would like to know whether her papers can be converted into residence papers that allow labour, can she avoid going back to Paraguay?
Thank you very much.
Answer – Such papers are extremely rare and it usually is issued to citizens that live in Italy to attend religious groups or orders or that are members of religious assembles.
These papers, generally speaking, do allow to conversions; but in the lack of specific rules proceeding can become rather dis-homogenous.
